The easiest way to meet your real estate continuing education requirements in Maryland is by taking them online! You can do it all on one weekend and be done with everything before you know it.
Effective 10/1/2024: The Maryland Real Estate Commission requires that licensees complete the 15 hours required before 30 days of license expiration. If not, you will have to pay a late fee of $168 before you can renew your license.
Don't Miss Your Continuing Education Deadline!
As a licensed real estate salesperson, you are required to take 15 hours of continuing education classes every two years. The mandatory continuing education courses cover:
- 3 hours of Legislative Issues
- 3 hours of Maryland Ethics
- 3 hours of Brokerage Relationships and Disclosures
- 2 hours of Maryland Fair Housing
These 15 hours of continuing education classes have to be taken 30 days before your license expires to maintain an active license.
